Welcome to Rüdi’s Bakehouse. These Terms of Service govern your use of our website, online store, products, subscriptions and related services.

By using our website or placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms.

Rüdi’s Bakehouse operates this website and online store through Shopify.

Throughout these Terms, “we”, “our” and “us” refer to Rüdi’s Bakehouse.

2. Online store use

You agree to use our website lawfully and in a way that does not interfere with the operation of the website or the experience of other customers.

You must not:

  • use our website for unlawful purposes
  • attempt to interfere with website security or functionality
  • copy or reproduce website content without permission
  • or misuse our services in any way

We may suspend or restrict access to our website where necessary to protect our business, customers or systems.

3. Products and availability

As many of our products are handcrafted and baked fresh daily:

  • availability may vary
  • product appearance may differ slightly from images shown online
  • and products may occasionally sell out without notice

We reserve the right to update, discontinue or limit products at any time.

All product descriptions, pricing and availability are subject to change.

4. Orders

When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase from us.

Orders are only confirmed once payment has been received and you have received an order confirmation.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel orders where necessary, including in cases involving:

  • pricing errors
  • product availability issues
  • suspected fraudulent activity
  • or operational limitations

If we cancel an order after payment has been processed, we will provide an appropriate refund.

5. Pricing

All prices displayed on our website are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and include GST unless stated otherwise.

Prices may change without notice.

Shipping or delivery costs, where applicable, are shown during checkout.

6. Pickup and delivery

Customers are responsible for:

  • providing accurate contact and delivery information
  • collecting pickup orders during the selected pickup window
  • and ensuring deliveries can be safely received where applicable

Due to the perishable nature of our products:

  • unattended deliveries may be left at the delivery address provided
  • and uncollected pickup orders may not be eligible for replacement or refund

Delivery timeframes are estimates only and may occasionally be affected by courier delays, weather events or other circumstances outside our control.

7. Pre-orders

Many of our products are prepared fresh to order and may be offered as pre-orders for future collection or delivery dates.

Pre-orders may be cancelled with at least 48 hours’ notice prior to the scheduled collection or delivery date.

Cancellations made within 48 hours may not be eligible for refund due to production preparation and ingredient ordering already underway.

8. Bread Club subscriptions

Bread Club subscriptions are subject to our Purchase Options Cancellation Policy.

Subscription customers are responsible for managing their subscription settings, delivery details and payment information through their customer account.

We reserve the right to update subscription pricing, product offerings or delivery arrangements where reasonably necessary.

9. Refunds and consumer rights

Due to the perishable nature of many of our products, we do not generally offer refunds for change of mind.

However, if there is an issue with your order, please contact us at hello@rudis.nz and we will do our best to help.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or any other applicable New Zealand consumer law.

10. Gift cards

Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

If applicable, any expiry period will be clearly stated at the time of purchase.

11. Intellectual property

All website content, branding, logos, photography, product names, graphics and written content are owned by or licensed to Rüdi’s Bakehouse and may not be reproduced or used without permission.

12. Third-party services

Our website may include links to third-party services, applications or websites.

We are not responsible for the content, policies or practices of third-party providers.

Our online store is hosted by Shopify, which enables us to provide ecommerce services to customers.

13. Privacy

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

By using our website, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in that policy.

14. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by New Zealand law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from:

  • use of our website
  • delayed deliveries
  • temporary service interruptions
  • or events outside our reasonable control

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights or remedies you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

We may update these Terms from time to time.

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.

Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
